Wimberley Market Days (from March to December) is every first Saturday of the month. 16 acres and 460 booths of arts, crafts and antiques to explore.
Pioneer Town houses the largest collection of sculptures by Frederick Remington (by appointment only)

Old Oaks Ranch at theoldoaksranch.com have wonderfull hand dyed yarn, classes, and pet alpacas - a wonderful place to visit

Restaurants
There are many wonderfull places to eat.
A few of them in Wimberley are Marco's (Italian ), Wimberly Cafe, Inoz, Linda's Fine Foods.
Milagro's (tex-mex), Wimberley Brewing Co. (German, American, Italian) are at The Junction on RR12.
In San Marcos a few are Cafe on the Square, Cool Mint Cafe, Italian Garden and Palmers Restaurant
Outlet Malls
San Marcos has a huge outlet mall with many many stores. Fine shopping is available in San Antonio and in Austin, each less than an hour away.
Fresh Water & Tubing
In warmer months, tubing is available on several fresh clean rivers, and the Glass Bottom Boat in Aquarena Springs, and Schlitterbahn are both famous fun.
